Lawrence Emergency Medicine Associates (LEMA) is comprised of an exceptional group of doctors and mid-levels exclusively serving Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence Kansas . LEMA is an independent democratic group with a 29 year history with Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
LEMA was founded in 1994 by Dr. Scott Robinson to provide Emergency Medicine sevicices with four physicians which has since expanded to include 13 American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)-certified physicians and 4 advanced practice providers.

Emergency Medicine and Mid-Level Career Opportunities
Mid-level Provider:
Advanced Practice Provider, either PA-C or APRN. We average 37,000 patients annually. Shifts vary from 10 to 12 hour shifts. The APP is expected to evaluate and manage low and moderate acuity patients. A board certified EM physician is always present and available for collaboration on patient care. Experience with EM procedures is required (i.e suturing, incision and drainage, joint dislocations and reductions, etc). Ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of emergency medicine experience. Candidates must also have an unrestricted KS license and will need a DEA license.
Emergency Physician:
BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physician. We average 37,000 patients annually. Shifts vary from 10 to 11 hour shifts and full time of 120 hours per month. Candidates must have an unrestricted KS license and will need a DEA license.
